It’s been a whirlwind month of finalizing the last bit of school for both of the kids. I couldn’t be more grateful. I am SO very glad that the school year has finally ended. Do you feel the same? I always want my babies at home with me. Never mind that they aren’t babies anymore. The later alarm doesn’t hurt my feeling any at all either. It’s going to be a glorious summer! Here’s to reading ALL.THE.BOOKS!!!
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
This book was excellent in my opinion, just like the rest of this series. Sometimes with young adult books, I find that they can be dumbed down. Which is ridiculous. Just because a reader is young does not negate the fact that they have a brain. Anywho. I love this series. I cannot wait for the next book to come out in October!!! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend.
Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley – The FlyLady
This is my current “Purse” book. Have you ever heard of the FlyLady? I have followed her for YEARS. The book is great. It’s full of useful information and great tips. My problem is: I love reading books about cleaning and organizing and I DON’T love actually doing the cleaning and organizing. Sigh.
I have also been reading from my giant pile of magazines. If you want to start your own magazine pile, all the ones below are on sale right now for $5.00! I love them, I’m sure you will too!

I really enjoyed Tower of Dawn… that series has been long, and a few of the books seemed to suffer from middle book syndrome, but overall I’m enjoying it. And I hear what you’re saying about the YA dumbing down issue… I mean even if I was in my early teens I wanted to read challenging books – I mean I felt like I should be treated as an adult and appreciated when my books seemed to deal with adult issues… is that odd?
